A sudden decline in US unemployment claims
Unemployment claims fell in America, contrary to analysts' expectations, last week.
According to data issued by the US Department of Labor today, Thursday, September 21st, applications for unemployment benefits fell by 20,000 to 201,000 applications during the week ending September 16th.
As for the average level of unemployment aid applications over the past four weeks, it was recorded at 217 thousand.
Yesterday, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Baub said that the labor market remains strong even with the decisions to raise interest rates.
