The Dow Jones index closed above 30 thousand points
US stocks jumped at the close of trading on Thursday the thirteenth of October, with the release of inflation data.
At the end of the session, the Dow Jones index rose by about 2.8%, or 827 points, to record 30038 points.
The S&P500 also rose by 2.6% at 3669 points, while the Nasdaq index ended the session with a gain of 2.2% at 10,649 points.
Banking and energy stocks led the gains in the US stock market.
US stocks achieved significant gains at the end of the session, after falling to their lowest level since 2020 during trading.
Inflation data in the United States showed that it recorded levels of 8.2% last month, the lowest level in 7 months, yet this reading exceeds analysts' expectations of 8.1%.
US Treasury yields reduced their gains after rising in morning trading, as the 10-year Treasury yield touched 4.1%.
