The unemployment rate in Turkey stabilizes without change
Data from the Statistics Institute in Turkey revealed that the unemployment rate inside the country remained unchanged during the period from June to August last, despite the high rate of participation in the labor market during this period, as the data showed that the unemployment rate in Turkey recorded 13.4% during this period .
At the same time, the data revealed that the number of workers decreased by 1.254 million on an annual basis, to record 43.5% during the same period, while the participation rate in the labor market increased, bringing the percentage of workers or job seekers in Turkey to 50.3%, compared with 49% before Month.
Data released Monday by the Statistics Office in Turkey showed that unemployment rates in the country rose slightly during the period from April to June, reaching 12.9%, compared to 12.8% during the period from March to May.
The Statistics Institute in Turkey had previously announced that the Turkish economy contracted strongly during the second quarter of this year, due to the continuing negative repercussions of the outbreak of the new Corona virus on the country's economy, as the economy contracted by 9.9% on an annual basis during this period.
